The Land Reform review panel published their findings in May 2014. Within their report, they included several recommendations to the Scottish Government relating to wild fish, fisheries, access  and fishing rights. I don’t want to go through this in any detail in a blog post (there just isn’t adequate space here) but I would recommend that those concerned about the Wild Fisheries Review and why it is taking place to read section 31 which deals with several key issues.

It is a lengthy document in its entirety but by reading section 31 (and possibly 30) should go a long way to help those complaining about the justification for the Wild fisheries Review, to understand why the Government felt it was required and why the DSFB system was thought to be in need of reform. The published Land Reform Review can be found by following this link.http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Resource/0045/00451597.pdf    Page 216 is the start of  section 31.
