Gillian our long serving biologist finished work today and is now on maternity leave until January 2016. Gillian’s baby is due in the next 2 -3 weeks and has done well to continue working for as long. As ever, Gillian took things within her stride and never missed a day. I’m not sure how we will manage without her for the next few months but she has spent time showing Gordon the ropes so he can take over much of her work in the months ahead. I expect we will have a few phone calls back and forwards to get advice.
4.45pm on her last day at work and Gillian was still teaching Gordon new tricks! How will we manage without her?
I’d just like to say thanks to Gillian for her unstinting commitment to the Trust and all her hard work over the years and wish her and Ian her husband, all the very best from the staff and Trustees. I’m sure Ian will keep us posted of progress.
