Monday saw us in Pitlochry delivering a drone workshop to fellow Scottish Fisheries Coordination Centre (SFCC) members. The aim of the course was to familiarise the attendees with drone flight and best practice guidance allowing safe, legal use of drones.

Drones are not inexpensive and whilst gaining confidence there is a certain amount of apprehension with regard to flying. I think all the attendees left with their confidence boosted and some ideas as to the value and potential uses of drones.

It has certainly become an integral part of our kit and something that we really wouldn’t like to be without.

Besides there functional use for Trusts, drones can provide a unique perspective for photography and make take fantastic photos.
