With the old footbridge between Daldorch House and Catrine replaced the final works to stabilise the Daldorch wall is now underway. Contractors today constructed a ramp into the river to allow a tracked machine access. Rocks have been pulled back from the undermined wall and shortly shuttering will be installed and concrete poured. Water levels will dictate the rate of progress but with a dry month predicted by forecasters last week, hopefully this work will be completed quickly.

The flow has been altered slightly today tin attempt to keep the works dry but I will attend in the morning and request a slight modification to improve things. It is essential that any fish arriving at this point aren’t held up but able to reach the relative safety of Anderson’s or pools further upstream. I’m sure our request will be easily accommodated. I will keep the blog and Ayr Board up to date as this work progresses.
