In line with the latest Government advice, the Trust has taken steps to minimise the risk that Coronavirus (Covid – 19) will interrupt our operations and planned work in the months ahead.
With immediate effect, the office will be closed to all visitors but manned by a single member of staff (rotating daily). We have implemented strict cleaning regimes and protools for the office. The rest of the staff will operate remotely from home ensuring business continues as normal. Fortunately we had already set up remote working and computer networks but no one could have predicted the scale of Coronavirus and the measures we are forced to take. Phone calls and emails will be answered as normal.
By self isolating, we aim to reduce the risk of interruption to our service should any member of staff become unwell.
We take biosecurity seriously and encourage everyone to do so. While there’s still a high chance that the staff may contract the disease, at least the Trust should be able to carry on and deliver our normal service (as much as possible ) throughout the summer. However for the foreseeable future we will only attend open air meetings and will be unable to host Board or other meetings in our office until further notice.
Our planned event celebrating our 20th Anniversary in August has been cancelled and our plans to host a November Fisherman’s dinner will be considered on an ongoing basis but hopefully by then, we will all be well beyond the impacts of this pandemic (but time will tell).
We will continue to upload posts detailing our work and anything of interest to Facebook and our related web pages as and when we have something to report.
Be safe and keep well.
