On the 24th September, I reported on erosion on the main stem of the Irvine at Galston. I was concerned at the level of erosion at this modified stretch and indicated that I’d speak to the Council about tis. I haven’t yet but today I received a call from Gary Anderson informing me that the tree on the bank has fallen across the river and the main sewer pipe from Galston has now been exposed. This is an urgent issue now and I’ll speak to East Ayrshire on Monday.

As it was under 1 month ago.

As Gary Anderson found it today.

The main sewer now exposed poses a significant threat to the environment

I’ll call this in to Scottish Water and East Ayrshire Council on Monday and hope that I get a quick response.
