This week ART has published tender documents for the control of invasive non native weeds across Ayrshire in the first of 4 succesive years of INTERREG IVA funded control.

In total, 8 tenders have been produced inviting suitably qualified contractors to submit prices for spraying Giant Hogweed and controlling Japanese Knotweed where they occur along Ayrshire rivers.  The areas that will be targeted under the INTERREG funding include Rivers Garnock, Irvine, Water of Girvan, Water of Coyle and certain Coastal Burns and the Ayr catchment.

Tenders documents have been issued.  Suitably qualified companies / business that wish  to submit prices but have not received the documents should contact Stuart or Gillian at the Trust asap to ensure they have adequate time to submit their quotes before the deadline on 28th Feb 2011.
