I have compiled the 2010 timed electrofishing survey results from the Ayr, Doon, Girvan and Stinchar. The report can be found in the downloads section here.
This type of electrofishing survey is targetted at salmon fry and all sites are selected on the basis of providing suitable habitat for this species and life stage. The report contains a summary of all the timed electrofishing results in these rivers over the last few years. Some trends are clear, e.g. consistently poor salmon fry numbers in the lower main stem of the Ayr, with improving numbers in the lower Doon.
