This afternoon I received word from SEPA that an incident near Auchinleck last night has led to fish dying in the Lugar.
I have little information as yet but it appears that a fire at farm buildings on Dumfries Estate (or in that vicinity) led to the pollution. SEPA has ben in attendance today and will return tomorrow. I was out of the office most of today and didn’t manage to follow this up this evening before SEPA closed so will post a full report tomorrow once I’ve talked to the incident case officer.
Hopefully it won’t be too damaging.
