Just to let everyone know that we have virtually completed the decorating of the new offices. And it’s been no mean feat but very worthwhile all the same. Now we are at the mercy of BT to move the telephone lines which has suddenly been changed from the 21st January to the 3rd February without any sensible explanation or warning. Well, there’s nothing we can do about it now so we just have to wait patiently.

We have been very fortunate to have had Helen once again assisting with the decorating without who’s help, I expect we would still have been painting until the end of next week. Peter Galloway was dedicated to the cause putting in more than a few shifts and Bob Brown, Meryl and Gordon helped out too with painting, plumbing and all sorts of things.
We managed to obtain office furniture from the old library so all we need to do over the next week or two is move the many files, filing cabinets, and once the phone lines are ready, the computers. All going well we will be in by the 4th February (a bit later than expected but not the end of the world). I’ll post more images once I take some.
Although we didn’t have any desire to move, this was forced on us by the changes that will take place at SRUC over the next few months. On the bright side, I think the results are great and I’m sure this will be an excellent base for many years to come. I’m glad we took the time to freshen the place up before we moved, it need it.
