The river Ayr map is nearing completion. Harriet Ellis has been working away to finish the watercolour paintings and is about to start adding pool names. Davie McPhail the world famous local fly tier and creator of the ‘Ayrshire Man’ fly is delighted that Harriet will produce a painting of this fly for the map. We are hoping to have the map ready for the printers by the second week in December so it may just arrive in time for Christmas.
We aren’t yet able to show too much detail as it is still work in progress but below is a mock up to show the quality of Harriet’s work and how the map might look. The detail in her paintings is fantastic.
The final map won’t be revealed until we have approved a proof for printing in a couple of weeks time. The overall size of the map will be 78cm x 32cm, slightly larger than previous maps due to the size of the catchment. Whilst this puts the cost up slightly, it still represents great value for money at £28 including p & p. (£26 collected from our offices) In the meantime, anyone wishing to pre order a map, hopefully for delivery before Christmas, please give the office a call 01292 525142. We will add a online purchase option once we receive the map from the printers.
Sweet blog! I found it while browsing on Yahoo News.
Do you have any tips on how to get listed in Yahoo News?
I’ve been trying for a while but I never seem to get there!
Thanks
Sorry, I’ve no idea how to get listed on yahoo.news but I suspect it has to do with the amount of readers and hits the page gets and that boils down to regular blogs that people want to read. Just keep blogging and you will get there.
