We were recently joined by Jon Gibb for the Wild Fisheries Fund to look at the Maucline Burn (Ayr catchment) and Brockloch Burn (Doon catchment) where we have been busy fencing, tree planting and green engineering along with solving livestock watering issues.

The following is a video highlighting some of the works and the importance of the fund in delivering beneficial work across our catchments.

Spring this year and the riverbanks were recovering. This tyre was allowed to remain in place as we felt there was a lack of structure that varied flows and it didn’t seem to be doing any harm

July 2024 and the difference a few months has made is obvious for all to see. Banks are rebuilding and the burn is narrowing
